Makhubele's removal as Chief Whip follows a similar decision at the end of last year which was later reversed by the party.

The MK Party has again taken a decision to remove Colleen Makhubele as Chief Whip, as leader Jacob Zuma reshuffles the party's Parliamentary caucus and national officials.

The latest party shake-up also sees former Eskom CEO and MK Party MP Brian Molefe installed as party Treasurer General replacing Mpiyakhe Limba. 

The party announced the changes in a statement on Monday

Makhubele's removal as Chief Whip follows a similar decision at the end of last year which was later reversed by the party.

The party thanked Makhubele for her contribution and appointed NCOP member Mmabatho Mokoena-Zondi, to act in the position.

The musical chairs are not limited to just Parliament.

The party said that Molefe brings extensive experience in public administration, governance, finance and organisational leadership and has a proven track record.

The MK Party said that the changes were taken in the best interests of strengthening the organisation and advancing its political mandate.
