A hacker has revealed how she exposed thousands of user profiles linked to white supremacist dating and networking platforms.

Going by the pseudonym Martha Root she infiltrated the sites and deleted thousands of profiles, but not before downloading 100GB of sensitve data.

"So this is 8 000 profiles of people who had signed up to WhiteDate," says UK correspondent Adam Gilchrist. It should come as no suprise that most of them are white males, adds Gilchrist.

Root even went as far as live streaming the moment she had the sites.

"She was dressed as a pink power ranger, and said the security on the account was so weak it would make your Grandma's AOL account blush!"

The data leaked includes highly sensitive personal information, including profile photos, physical descriptions and embedded image metadata that could reveal users’ locations and identities.

Gilchrist says the pages of the various websites affected, including WhiteDate, WhiteChild and WhiteDeal are littered with "appallingly racist and misogynistic questions and comments."

The members of the leak, now being dubbed 'WhiteLeaks', are mostly US-based although 1 200 were registered from the UK, France, Germany and other parts of Europe.

All of the websites were reportedly operated by a right-wing extremist based in Germany.
