Western Cape welcomes 28 New Year’s Day babies

Twenty-eight babies were born in the Western Cape, on Thursday to ring in the new year with some warm-hearted festive cheer.
Public health facilities across the province recorded the births of seventeen boys and eleven girls with first newborn delivered at Mowbray maternity hospital as the clock struck 12 on Tuesday night.
Western Cape MEC for health and wellness Mireille Wenger welcomed the births urging parents to make use of the province's health care facilities.
"In the Western Cape, our focus is on giving every child a strong and healthy start through quality care, support and skilled healthcare teams," said Wenger.
