The sister of slain media personality Warrick Stock has urged the public to celebrate his enduring legacy and the social causes he championed.
Speaking at a memorial service held on Friday, Nicole Stock shared that her brother was a man who fought tirelessly to uproot the social ills impacting his community. Known affectionately by his stage name, DJ Warris, Stock was killed in the Johannesburg CBD this past Tuesday.
Throughout the service, speakers remembered Stock as a compassionate individual who cared deeply for others, regardless of their background or status. His sister poignantly echoed this sentiment during her tribute.
“Today we do not gather only to mourn what was taken, but to celebrate what remains unbroken: the truth he stood for, the love he lived, and the courage he demanded of us all,” she said.
