The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms across parts of Gauteng.
The SAWS has outlined that the harsh weather conditions may lead to localised flooding in low-lying areas, which could potentially cause structural damage.
Following recent damaging hailstorms in the capital, the City of Tshwane’s Emergency Service is strongly advising residents to stay indoors where possible.
Motorists across the province are also urged to exercise extreme caution and maintain a safe following distance while driving.
