Man's body found buried in Westbridge, Mitchells Plain

Western Cape police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in Mitchells Plain on Wednesday night.  

The body of was found buried in Dagbreek Street, up on the hills called the Westridge Dunes.

SAPS members received the complaint and registered a murder case.  

Police spokesperson FC van Wyk said the deceased male is estimated to be in his 20s.

"A community member walking his dogs on the hill picked up a foul smell and when he looked, saw a hand in the ground. He immediately called the police. A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death. Anyone with information about this incident is kindly requested to contact Crime Stop."
