Crime Intelligence boss Dumisani Khumalo has concluded his testimony before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry and is set to appear before the Pretoria Regional Court in an ongoing fraud and corruption matter.
On Wednesday, his testimony before the inquiry was extended by several hours, as evidence leader Advocate Adila Hassim pushed to wrap up so that he could appear in court on Thursday morning.

Khumalo is seeking to have his bail conditions relaxed before the capital’s regional court.
What started off as explosive testimony on Tuesday by Khumalo, quickly turned into a history lesson on the formation, functions and structure of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).
On Tuesday, Khumalo kicked off his testimony detailing the raids at the homes of Katiso “KT” Molefe and Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala on 6 December.
The commission previously heard that members of the Hawks (DPCI) arrived at Molefe’s Sandhurst mansion demanding to know what was going on.
Khumalo claimed they couldn't trust the DPCI.
“There is an individual, a Zungu, that is from TOMS [Tactical Operations Management Section] of DPCI that is working with the cartel, so even before the takedown, we had that red flag that we need to protect the investigation from DPCI.”
He also referred to CCTV footage showing a possible shady deal taking place between Sergeant FE Nkosi, a member of organised crime, and Molefe.
The footage showed Nkosi arriving at Molefe’s home 10 days before his arrest and collecting a white paper bag before leaving in a State vehicle.
