Some South Africans may have noticed internet connectivity issues on Tuesday.
It's been due to a problem with SEACOM, the company that provides global connectivity via undersea cables along the African coast.
It says it's been experiencing a dual outage affecting part of its terrestrial segment and the West Coast route.
SEACOM says as a result, traffic has been rerouted through the available backbone capacity, warning that due to network congestion, customers may experience service degradation, particularly for internet traffic towards international destinations in Europe.
