Meeting scheduled to take place between Manamela & NSFAS chair Stander

A meeting is scheduled to take place between Minister of Higher Education Buti Manamela and the chairperson of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) board, Dr Karen Stander, on Monday.
This follows the resignation of Stander, who in a letter addressed to Manamela, raised serious concerns of bullying, intimidation, racism, and threats to personal safety.
Ministry of Higher Education and Training spokesperson Matshepo Seedat confirmed that a previously scheduled meeting with the entire NSFAS board will go ahead as planned on Wednesday.
“Minister Manamela has said how deeply concerned he is about the gravity of the issues raised by Dr Stander. That the matters warrant serious attention, and he will engage thoroughly before determining the necessary course of action.”
