Suspect arrested in connection with killing of two Mamelodi women

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of two young women in Mamelodi, east of Pretoria, at the weekend.

Police have revealed that a third victim was also shot during the incident but survived.
The suspect, who is 38 years old, has been charged with two counts of murder for allegedly killing Baleseng and Tshiamo Moramaga, who were 21 and 22 years old, respectively.
It's understood the man was arrested by detectives from Gauteng’s Violent Crime Unit at a petrol station in Pretoria.
Police say while only two women were found on the scene, further investigation has revealed that a third victim was also shot during the incident and is receiving medical attention.
The suspect will appear in the Mamelodi Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
