Matriculants at Forte Secondary School aim to maintain school’s 100% pass rate

Anxious and excited matric pupils at Forte Secondary School in Soweto said they aim to maintain their school's 100% pass rate.
More than 140,000 students in Gauteng are writing English Paper Three on Thursday.

The Gauteng Department of Education was at the school to monitor the processes.
With their IDs in their examination packets, each pupil, in their maroon and white uniform, stepped into the examination venue.
Forte Secondary School has managed to maintain a 90% pass rate for five years, with 100% in 2024.
Many said that they had worked hard for this period and would accept nothing less than a bachelor's pass.
"I only want distinctions, like nothing else. Distinctions. I also want a bachelor's pass with a minimum of five distinctions."
The department added that they would continue with inspections for the duration of the examinations.
