At least 7 people killed in separate shootings across Cape Town this week

It's been a bloody week in parts of Cape Town, with police investigating several shooting incidents, including one involving an attack on Anti-Gang Unit members.
A 61-year-old man was shot and killed in Mfuleni on Wednesday and the motive for his murder is not yet known.
Two men were killed and another wounded in two separate shootings in Eastridge, in Mitchells Plain.
In Lotus River, on Tuesday night, a man was killed and a woman survived after sustaining gunshot wounds to their bodies.
"According to reports, the victims were standing outside when a red vehicle entered the road and the occupants opened fire on them before fleeing the scene. The motive for the attack forms part of the police investigation. Grassy Park detectives are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder," said the police's Wesley Twigg.
Also on Tuesday, a police captain and a sergeant attached to the Anti-Gang Unit were shot and wounded in Lavender Hill.
The officers were chasing a vehicle when they were ambushed by community members.
Meanwhile, police are hunting the gunmen responsible for a shooting involving three men in Site C in Khayelitsha. Two of the men died, while the third victim was taken to a medical facility for treatment.
