Trade union COSATU expects thousands of workers to show up for its march in Cape Town on Tuesday.
COSATU organised the march to mark International Day for Decent Work as part of a nation-wide campaign calling for fair wages, job security, and the protection of workers' rights.
The march is set to start on Hanover Street at 10am before moving to the Western Cape Provincial Legislature and ending at the Cape Town Civic Centre.
Western Cape provincial secretary, Malvern de Bruyn, said that COSATU would hand over a memorandum to Premier Alan Winde.
"Our memorandum will cover the issue of international decent work, and we are also for jobs and the protection of jobs within this province and nationally."
De Bruyn said that COSATU would also hand a memorandum to the City of Cape Town.
"That memorandum will cover the issue of the high electricity tariffs, high water tariffs and the anti-poor budget that was passed by the majority of the DA."
De Bruyn said COSATU expected about 5,000 people to join the march.
