Mthethwa family unhappy over how they were informed of his death

Some family members of the late former South African ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, have expressed unhappiness over how they were informed of his death.
Mthethwa, who also served as South Africa’s police minister, was found dead in a hotel in Paris.
The family says they are still stunned by the news of his passing and are concerned that no formal communication was sent to them about the incident.

Musawokuphila Mthethwa, the late ambassador’s uncle, said: "We were supposed to be informed first, so that we could properly arrange ourselves to face the situation."
Another uncle, Ellias Mthethwa, added: "We are not happy about this matter. It broke our hearts that we heard on the news before being officially informed."
Meanwhile, there has been a flurry of activity at the ambassador’s home.
