KZN disaster management officials on high alert following weather warnings

The KwaZulu-Natal disaster management officials are bracing for inclement weather, expecting to make landfall this week.
The weather office has issued multiple weather warnings for disruptive rain and strong winds along the coast from Wednesday.
COGTA spokesperson Senzelwa Mzila said the level 4 alert would affect several municipalities.
"Including eThekwini, Abaqulusi, Alfred Duma, IG Five Hlabisa, Hluhluwe, Dannhauser, Edumbe, Emadlanga, Endumeni, Jozini, KwaDukuza, Mandeni, Maphumulo, Ndwedwe, Newcastle and surrounding areas."
A level 2 warning for disruptive rainfall is in place for the KZN Midlands and other inland areas.
"The MEC has placed all disaster management teams on high alert and will continue to monitor the weather conditions."
