Gwarube warns Operation Dudula members they'll face 'full might of the law' if they disrupt schools

Minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube has warned Operation Dudula members that they will face the 'full might of the law' if they disrupt schools.

On Monday, the organisation visited several schools in Soweto and dropped off memorandums, saying they must stop enrolling undocumented foreign pupils.
TheGauteng Department of Education has explained to the group that it has a constitutional obligation to cater to all children of school-going age, regardless of their documentation or immigration status.
Basic Education national spokesperson Terence Khala said, "Minister Gwarube has continued to emphasise that the safety of learners remains a top priority for the seventh administration, reaffirming her department’s commitment to ensuring schools are safe spaces for children, free from abuse, intimidation and disruption."
