Cape Town woman due to appear in court on arson charges

A 29-year-old woman is set to appear in the Cape Town Magistrates' Court on Monday on charges of arson for a residential fire that claimed the life of one person.
A fire broke out at an informal settlement in Woodstock over the weekend.
The blaze also destroyed 10 structures and left 18 people displaced.
Police arrested the woman on suspicion of having caused the fire.
"The body of an adult female was found with fatal burn wounds amongst the debris. An arson and culpable homicide case was opened for investigation," said Western Cape police spokesperson, FC van Wyk.
