Parts of Tshwane still in the dark

JOHANNESBURG - Saturday marks the third day of a major power outage in parts of the Pretoria CBD and surrounding areas.

The City of Tshwane has attributed the blackout to vandalism and theft.

The metro's energy and electricity business unit is on the ground trying to recover the damaged Bellom Princess Park feeders.

City Spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said that some areas in the Pretoria CBD, Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre, Pretoria West industrial, and nearby communities are still experiencing a power outage following theft and vandalism of the electricity components.
