CAPE TOWN - Police are still searching for the suspects believed to be responsible for another spate of murders in Kraaifontein, Cape Town, this past weekend.

A total of four people were killed in separate incidents at the weekend, including a man shot at the Mhongqo informal settlement on Sunday,

Two more men were also shot and killed in the surrounding area within hours of the first murder.

“Dignities from the Western Cape are probing three murders, an attempted murder and as well as the rape of a woman, following three separate shooting incidents in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein, on Sunday morning. All three incidents occurred after one in the morning, and the motive is under investigation,” said Western Cape police spokesperson Novela Potelwa.

A fourth victim was stabbed in the chest on Saturday, adding to concerns the community is under siege following three double murders earlier in the week.
