JOHANNESBURG - Leader of the Patriotic Alliance (PA), Gayton McKenzie, says the probe into his deputy, Kenny Kunene, is nearing completion, almost two months after his suspension from party activities.
Kunene is being investigated after he was found at the home of Katiso 'KT' Molefe, the alleged mastermind of Oupa Sefoka's murder, popularly known as DJ Sumbody.
Kunene confirmed being at Molefe's home in July when the suspected killer was arrested by police.
At the time, he said he was there to facilitate a meeting for journalists from his online publication Africa Global News for a potential exclusive story.

In a regular briefing to party supporters on Sunday, McKenzie gave an update on the matter.
"That investigation is nearly done. I'm sure we are going to get an answer this week regarding the DP. The investigators have interviewed the DP and everyone else, so we're just waiting for the result."
Although the suspension was set down for 30 days, McKenzie said due processes are being followed.
"You said in 30 days, I'm not the one investigating this matter, I told you who is investigating it, so we must wait because we can't interfere during the investigation, because if we interfere, you're going to say 'he's interfering again so we didn't want to do that."
