At the time of her passing, she was the Associate Editor for Politics at Eyewitness News (EWN).
Bold, passionate and caring were just some of the words being used to describe Madia, as she was fondly remembered.
"Literally my best friend in life. The 27th of August will never be the same. I don't how family gatherings are going to be like. As busy as our sister was, every time there was something happening in the family, she made sure she was there. We are left to pick up the pieces without the biggest integral part and I look at her and I'm: 'You prepared us for everyone's death but not yours,'" said Madia's sister, Reabetjoe Mokoko.
