JOHANNESBURG - The Tshwane Municipality said it’s considering its options after failing to overturn a court judgment that declared its city cleansing unlawful.

The R194 a month levy was targeted at about 250,000 businesses and residential properties that use private waste collection.
The municipality anticipated the levy would bring it about R540 million a year.
"The city will seek the advice of senior legal counsel on the implications of the judgment and to determine the way forward. Tshwane has one month in which to appeal today’s judgment," said municipal spokesperson Selby Bokaba.
