2 suspects wanted for murder of police officer killed in shootout with KZN SAPS

DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal police have shot dead two suspects who were wanted for the murder of an officer.
Cops found the gunmen in a house in Inanda on Tuesday night during an operation.
The officer was killed in February this year.
Police spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda, said the suspects opened fire on police during a confrontation.
"The suspects responded with gunshots towards police officers from inside the house and police were left with no choice but to return fire in self-defence. During the shootout, two suspects, aged 20 and 21 years old, were shot and fatally wounded. A firearm whose serial number was filed off was found in the possession the suspects. No police officer was injured during the shootout."
