JOHANNESBURG - The mother accused of killing her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee Meek, will be spending one more night in prison as her bail application is set to continue on Wednesday.
 
Tiffany Nicole Meek on Tuesday appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court for her bail application. 
 
Meek is accused of murdering her son, who was discovered a few meters away from the family's Fleurhof apartment unit in May.
 
State witness Sergeant Ncebo Siko, who is the investigating officer of the case, was on the stand on Tuesday.
 
He shared with the court that Meek should remain in custody for her own safety.
 
"If the applicant is released, the community, I'm not talking about the community of Fleurhof... she may be in Durban and she may find people waiting for her, the way I see how people are reacting."
