CAPE TOWN - After two weeks, police have identified a possible suspect in the attack of a woman on the Jeep track in Camps Bay.

It’s understood the woman sustained severe injuries to her head after she was hit repeatedly with a rock

The attack has left her 50% blind in her left eye due to the attackers attempt to gauge her eyes out.

Police spokesperson Anelisiwe Manyana said the suspect fled the scene when two other women heard the victims screams.

“Preliminary information suggests that victim was hiking up Table Mountain when she was accosted by an unknown man who allegedly picked up a rock and attacked the victim, hitting her multiple times on the head.”
