Police arrest teen in Woodlands, 2 others in Elsies River for illegal gun possession

CAPE TOWN - Police have made more gun possession-related arrests in Cape Town on Thursday.
During a search of a premises in Woodlands, members of the Anti-Gang Unit found a gun with nine rounds of ammunition.
A 14-year-old boy, who police say is affiliated with a gang, was arrested for the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
And in Elsies River, a 40-year-old man was arrested for the possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie said that a third arrest was made in Elsies River.
"They arrested a 19-year-old male who was found in possession of a 38 Special revolver with six 38 Special rounds of ammunition. These suspects are scheduled to appear in the Goodwood Magistrates Court, once charged."
