Body of newborn baby found in Kuils River

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town police are investigating a case of concealment of birth after the body of a newborn baby was found in Kalkfontein, Kuils River.

The decomposed body was found next to a canal, close to a bridge, wrapped in plastic bags on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson, FC Van Wyk, said no arrests had been made yet.

"A post-mortem will be conducted to determine race, gender and cause of death of the baby. A case of concealment of birth was registered."
