Police search for remaining suspects in deadly Free State liquor store robbery ​

JOHANNESBURG - The manhunt for suspects linked to a deadly robbery in Deneysville in the Free State is still underway.

A group of five armed men reportedly entered a bottle store on Saturday, when they reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of money.

During the robbery, the suspects shot and killed the shop owner.

Police responded swiftly to the scene and managed to apprehend several suspects.

Captain Loraine Earle says one suspect was shot and killed during a shootout with police, while two others were arrested.

"A third suspect (27) was later traced and apprehended. He sustained minor injuries during his arrest. The search for the remaining suspects continues. Police seized stolen property, including alcohol, money and clothes. The vehicle used during the crime was seized as well as a revolver."
