JOHANNESBURG - Eastern Cape police have intensified their search for the suspects responsible for the rape and murder of a teenager in Tsomo.
Anga Ndema’s body was discovered in a dilapidated building near a forest on Saturday.
The 14-year-old was found a day after she had failed to return home from school.
Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana said forensic investigations had confirmed that she was sexually assaulted before her death.
“The case has been transferred to the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit. No arrests have been made. Police urgently appeal to anyone with relevant information to contact police.”
