KZN govt says uncertain when 208 schools affected by severe weather will be fixed

DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal provincial government said there was no certainty as to when the 208 schools affected by severe weather would be fixed.

This, as the recent inclement weather conditions have left a devastating impact on schools across the province.

However, some of the schools, like the Thandulwazi Senior Primary School in KwaMashu, were damaged in the 2022 floods and have still not been repaired.

Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli said it's still unclear when the schools will be repaired.

"It is not easy to say they will be fixing all the schools before the third term because of money - we need money."
