CAPE TOWN - A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Plettenberg Bay Regional Court for raping his ex-girlfriend.
Siyamcela Yali grabbed the woman who was on her way to meet with friends and forced her into bushes on the side of the road.
The assault, which took place in December 2020, lasted up to six hours.
Two people who passed through the bushes the next morning heard her screaming.
