Olorato Mongale's mother vows to follow her daughter's advice and live life to the fullest

BLOEMFONTEIN - In her final tribute to slain Olorato Mongale, her mother, Basetsana Mongale, said that she would honour the 30-year-old’s life by following her motto to live life to the fullest.
Olorato was killed last Sunday after leaving her Johannesburg home for a date with a man she had recently met.
Her body was found hours later in Lombardy, north of Johannesburg.

Since then, police have shot dead the prime suspect, cleared a second, and are still searching for a third man believed to be involved.
Basetsana Mongale brought mourners to tears at the Bloemfontein City Hall when she shared a tribute during Olorato's funeral.
She described her only child as warm and courageous, adding that she would live by Olorato’s simple but powerful advice to her.
"She said to me I must live and I will live. It's painful, I will see a therapist, I’ll see a pastor but I’m going to live. My daughter said I must live life to the fullest."
