MPUMALANGA - The families of missing journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli have expressed disappointment with the judicial system following another postponement of court proceedings at the KwaMhlanga Magistrates Court.

The families were gathered outside the court on Monday for the appearance of four suspects who face charges of kidnapping and murder.

Zodwa Mdhluli's aunt, Lina Nkosi, told the media they hoped her family would receive progress on the case.

"We are very much sad that the case has been postponed to the 27th [of May], yet we thought maybe we'll come up with something tangible today [Monday]. And also, we are still worried as a family about the DNA test because a lot is happening in our hearts, in our minds. We are not at easy at all," said Nkosi.

Meanwhile, Ndlovu's brother Sfiso also expressed frustration over the prolonged wait for DNA results.

"The DNA results is stressing us. It's been a long time waiting to start by repairing the funeral, but still, we're not sure. We're still waiting for the results, it's straining us a lot," said Ndlovu.
