JOHANNESBURG - Motorists who use the M1 South road after Xavier Street in Crown Gardens are urged to use alternate routes to avoid traffic delays caused by an accident.

Earlier on Tuesday, a truck lost control and overturned, no injuries have been reported.

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department said that two lanes had been closed to allow emergency personnel and law officials to manage the incident.

Spokesperson, Xolani Fihla, said one lane had been left open to allow for the flow of traffic.

"Drivers heading towards the scene should expect delays. Motorists are urged to exercise patience and caution. To minimise inconvenience, consider using alternative routes and avoid the area if possible."
