JOHANNESBURG - The Judicial Conduct Tribunal investigating allegations of sexual harassment against Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge has heard that high court secretary, Andiswa Mengo, circulated explicit content allegedly received from the judge.
Judges Secretary from the High Court in Gqeberha, Ntomboxolo Jobela, told the tribunal that Mengo sent her pornographic material, alleging that it emanated from the judge president.
Jobela said that Mengo also alerted her that there was an old judge that was abusing her, and she was growing increasingly frustrated, given that he was old enough to be her father.
The tribunal is investigating these claims made against the 63-year-old judge in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Jobela described the three images to the tribunal and identified two explicit pictures.
"The first picture was of a screenshot, and that particular screenshot was that of a male organ. The second picture contained a male and a female. The female was lying down and the male was standing up, and they were both naked."
