GEORGE - The Good Party in George is calling for justice and accountability, as the people of the town mark one year today since the collapse of the building on Victoria Street.
Thirty-four people were killed when a partially built five-storey apartment block caved in.
Sixty-two construction workers were on site at the time, 28 of them were seriously injured.

A commemoration ceremony is expected to be held at the George Town hall this afternoon, where the survivors and families of the deceased are expected to attend.
GOOD Party's Chantelle Kyd said it's unfortunate that a year later, the scars are still fresh, investigations are delayed, reports withheld and no meaningful consequences for those responsible.
She said this day should serve as a reminder that the passage of time has not brought the justice or accountability that the victims’ families deserve.
"Survivors of the collapse will also attend the service. Many remain unemployed, with mounting medical bills, with no financial support or assistance from either the state or the private sector," said Kyd
She added that commitments should go beyond just symbolic gestures.
