JOHANNESBURG - Mamelodi Sundowns will visit Al Ahly for a 2nd leg in the CAF Champions League semi-final on Friday night at the Cairo International Stadium.
The top two clubs in Africa played to a goalless draw in the first leg of this semi-final last Saturday at Loftus Versfeld.
This time around, there needs to be a winner in Cairo, whether by regulation time or on penalties.
Aside from a clear win, the Brazilians will have the away goals rule in their favour this evening should the match against the Egyptians end in any scoring draw.
βI think itβs not going to be an easy game, just like when we played in Pretoria, but we are going to put maximum effort so that we can win the game. We donβt want to go to the penalties because penalties are like a game of gambling. So, we will need to put our A-game so that we can manage to score and win the game in 90 minutes,β said Mamelodi Sundowns defender Divine Lunga.
The Egyptians are chasing a 13th Champions League title and a historic third in a row.
Pirates and Sundowns have both won the premier African club competition once.

ORLANDO PIRATES
The Soweto giants face Pyramids FC on Friday night at 20h00 for the CAF Champions League semifinal second-leg clash at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.
Orlando Pirates are in the last four of the competition for the first time since finishing the 2013 edition as runners-up.
The Sea Robbers and the Egyptians need to dig deep to break the deadlock and book their ticket to the final.
The South African team continued its unbeaten run to nine matches across all competitions when they drew with Pyramids at home last weekend at FNB Stadium.
This was their second draw in their last four matches.
The Buccaneers are the only unbeaten team remaining in this season's Champions League.
