CAPE TOWN - A 24-year-old man linked to the murder of a 50-year-old man inside the Wynberg court is expected to make his first appearance at the same court on Tuesday.
He was arrested over the weekend after investigators questioned several people about what is believed to have been a hit.
The murder-accused taxi operator from Vrygrond was shot and killed on court premises two weeks ago.
On 8 April, two men entered the fourth floor of the Wynberg Magistrates Court when one fired a semi-automatic weapon outside Court D.
The assailants fled the building undetected by police.
Shortly after the shooting, 35-year-old Shireen Mathews was picked up by the police.
Mathews is believed to be the mastermind behind the alleged hit.
She appeared in court last week Monday and is expected back in the dock on Wednesday.
Police have not ruled out more arrests as they ramp up their investigation.
