Joshlin Smith disappearance: Investigating team still following leads, court hears

SALDANHA BAY - The investigating officer in the Joshlin Smith case says his team is still following every lead to find the missing girl.
On Tuesday, Anti-kidnapping Unit detective Captain Wesley Lombard answered questions about his team's investigation into Joshlin's disappearance.
The little girl's mother, Kelly Smith, Jacquen Appollis and Steveno van Rhyn are charged with kidnapping and human trafficking after Joshlin went missing in February last year.

Lombard told the court how his team followed up every lead to find Joshlin.
Lombard says the Anti-kidnapping Unit recently investigated various sightings of Joshlin in provinces throughout the country as recently as last month.
"The children who looked like Joshlin. Everything was followed up. Up to last month... Everything was negative... The children who were seen were not Joshlin."
The State is expected to wrap up its case against the accused on Wednesday.
