JOHANNEBSURG - Gauteng traffic police are urging motorists to obey road rules following a number of fatal crashes over the Easter weekend.

At least 15 people have died on the province's roads, with most of the victims being pedestrians.

Traffic police spokesperson Obed Sibasa said dangerous driving remains a major concern.

"We urge road users to take charge of their safety and the safety of other road users. Drinking and driving, driving at excessive speed for the circumstances, reckless and negligent driving are the three offences for which a driver is immediately arrested. Remember, in Gauteng, there is no money, there is no price, there is nothing."
