A second suspect linked to the murder of a 50-year-old man two weeks ago has been arrested over the weekend.

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town police have made another breakthrough in the Wynberg Court murder investigation.

A second suspect linked to the murder of a 50-year-old man two weeks ago was arrested over the weekend.

The murder-accused taxi operator from Vrygrond was shot and killed on court premises two weeks ago.

35-year-old alleged mastermind Shireen Mathews appeared in the same court last week on Monday and will appear again on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson Novela Potelwa said they're busy questioning people and further arrests are expected.

"A 24-year-old man is expected to appear in the Wynberg Court on Tuesday on charges of murder. The suspect was arrested over the weekend as part of Serious Violent Crimes investigations that are gaining momentum," said Potelwa.
