JOHANNESBURG – KwaZulu-Natal residents are still contending with harsh weather conditions as disruptive rains persist.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has on Tuesday warned that a cold front is sweeping across the country, with a chance of slight snow fall over mountain tops in the province.
SAWS forecaster Tokelo Chiloane broke it down: “Four Gauteng, we don’t have much happening, however for KwaZulu-Natal we have that level four and it’s still continuing that level four, up until tomorrow [Wednesday] for disruptive rainfall.
“Because of the system that is passing through, the cold front we are expecting a drop in temperatures, probably we are going to see our first snowfall in South Africa.”
