Corruption-accused Magashule says case will be embarrassment for the NPA

JOHANNESBURG - Disgraced former Free State Premier Ace Magashule says the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is going to be embarrassed now that the corruption case against him is underway.
Magashule, controversial businessman Edwin Sodi and Free State government employees are standing trial for the dodgy awarding of a R255 million tender by the Human Settlements Department.
The contract was for the replacement of asbestos roofs from 300,000 township homes, but that never happened.

The 18 accused face charges including fraud, corruption and money laundering.
"Let heaven fall and justice be done. I hope South Africans and the entire globe will know the truth."
Former Free State Premier Ace Magashule was in high spirits in court on Tuesday, parading around the courtroom as he greeted and laughed with his co-accused.
Speaking to the media, Magashule had a bright smile, saying South Africans are about to know the truth.
"You will hear once I get into the box why this actually happened. I am very excited. I am confident there is no case here."
The matter will continue tomorrow where Magashule and his co-accused will plead to the charges levelled against him.
