This is despite friction between the DA and ANC in the Government of National Unity (GNU).
Both parties also make up the coalition government in KZN.
DA KZN leader Francois Rodgers said the coalition has to remain intact because the alternative will be allowing the EFF and MK Party into government.
“Because I don’t need to tell you that the balance of power in the province is one seat, two seats at most, to give the opposition the power in the province, that means we will hand over this province to the MK and EFF and we have made it very clear and I think all parties in the Government of Provincial Unity have made it clear – that’s not an option but again we need to stress and stipulate that whatever decisions are made at the national level, ultimately can, will, and may impact on the province.”
