JOHANNESBURG - The Pretoria Magistrates Court will on Wednesday morning hand down judgment on bail for the bouncer arrested in connection with the assault of young men at a Pretoria night club.
The 41-year-old Congolese national brought his application in March.
He was arrested after videos showing the sexual violation of the men at the Zanzou nightclub surfaced.
The State has opposed bail for the 41-year-old bouncer, saying the court should consider the violent nature of the crimes he is accused of.
Prosecutors pointed out that the accused had already been outed by a victim in an identity parade, showing that there was a case against him.
But his lawyers asked the court not to give in to society's outrage.
They have told the court that if the man was not released, his wife and children would be rendered homeless.
Meanwhile, the State said that more victims continued to come forward and would be taken through an identity parade.
