Tshwane metro police continue to crack down on non-compliant businesses

JOHANNESBURG - The Tshwane Metro Police continue to crack down on non-compliant businesses, issuing numerous fines during recent operations.
The Metro Police Department is actively enforcing bylaws and regulations to ensure compliance among businesses in the region.
Recent joint operations with various departments, including the police service and health department, targeted a range of issues from health compliance to illegal activities.
During the latest operation, nine Section 56 infringement notices valued at approximately R17,000 were issued, along with 18 road traffic fines totalling R10,000.
Another operation in Centurion resulted in 20 additional fines, adding another R10,000.
In that raid, two illegal immigrants were also detained.
In a separate inspection, nine establishments were found to be non-compliant, with three shut down and others receiving infringement warnings.
The Tshwane Metro Police Department encourages community members to report any illegal activities or non-compliance with by-laws to help maintain a safe environment for all residents and businesses.
