MATATIELE - Civil society organisations took to the streets in Matatiele, Eastern Cape, on Saturday, in a continued cry for justice for victims of rape.
Three children were raped, allegedly at their schools in the area in 2024.
The community is dissatisfied with the way the police have handled the cases.

They marched to the local police station, calling for action to be taken.
They handed over a petition at the station, which they said must also be handed over to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Professor Mbulelo Dyasi was one of the leaders of the march: “There isn't one, there aren't two, there aren't three, there aren't four. Even in the farms, children are being raped. In a nutshell, Matatiele is Sodom and Gomorrah.”
The march is just one of several demonstrations across the country.
But even amid the protest action, the activists said they fear no action will be taken and no justice will be done for the minors in the area.
