4 April 2025 | 10:38To get more of Stan, tune in to Kfm 94.5 on Sundays, 6pm to 9pm. We promise it's going to be lekker!
If you haven't heard... Stan Mars is the latest addition to the Kfm fam!
His new show debuts on Sunday, 6 April from 6 pm to 9 pm - and that's where he'll be every Sunday after this.
In case you're wondering what Stan's all about... let's get to know a bit about him.
We asked Stan some rapid-fire questions and these were the things we learnt:
- First things first, Stan is excited to be at Kfm 94.5!
- Originally from Kuils River, Stan was inspired to get into radio at about 13 years old.
- Like most teens, Stan wanted 'to be rich and famous' and thought there was a lot of money in radio... (whether this one came true, you'll have to ask Stan on the WhatsApp line during his show on Sunday).
- Stan just wanted to 'make it big in radio' - he DID that!
- Back in the day, Stan 'was late for everything all the time'. This has improved.
- Hanging out with presidents and realising that the president is pretty 'normal' is one of Stan's most memorable moments while seeing the impact radio has on people is why Stan continues to love the medium.
- Stan is somewhat of a chef as his favourite thing to whip up is a curry - Cape Malay and Durban curries are where his faves are at.
- Stan's guilty pleasure is singing (not just along but as loud as he can) to Kurt Darren's... not Loslappie... but Kaptein... Span Die Seile.
- Stan's ultimate dinner guest (dead or alive) would be... Michael Jackson, so that Michael could show him how to... moonwalk AND so that he can ask: who are Annie and Billie Jean? We can answer that last one, it's not his lover.
- Stan won't speak a lot on his new show because the music will do all the talking.
To find out if that last one is true, you'll have to listen to Stan's first show on Sunday, 6 April from 6 pm to 9 pm - tune in to Kfm 94.5 to listen or stream the show live on Primedia Plus.
Welcome to the fam, Stan!
