CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town has called on the public to practise patience in Mitchells Plain, where extensive roadworks are underway for a MyCiTi bus route.

City Mayco Member for Urban Mobility Rob Quintas said the road construction projects included Jakes Gerwel Drive, AZ Berman Drive, and Stock Road, as well as the resurfacing of various roads as part of ongoing maintenance.

Quintas said the city will host a public information day on Tuesday, 15th April, at the Lentegeur Administrative Building.

The City of Cape Town is urging Mitchells Plain residents, business owners, and stakeholders to attend the public information day so that officials can provide updates on roadworks in the area.

The updates will include road rehabilitation work along Jakes Gerwel Drive, infrastructure construction for MyCiTi bus services on AZ Berman Drive and Stock Road, and road resurfacing projects in the area.

Quintas said the information day will take place between 3 pm and 7 pm.

"The city encourages interested parties to attend this information day with the city's project managers and officials who will be available to answer questions and take note of concerns."

Quintas said the information day is an opportunity for the community to get first-hand information about the projects.
