JOHANNESBURG - The two men arrested following the deadly attack at the Marry Me informal settlement are due back in the Pretoria North Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.
The men were arrested days after the attack last week, but they hadn’t been positively linked to the crime.
On Monday, one of the men was charged with the murders of the six victims who died.
A group of 12 patrollers were attacked last week while on duty at the Marry Me informal settlement.
The two men, aged 27 and 51, appearing in the Pretoria North Magistrates Court were charged for possession of firearms and ammunition last week.
They will return to the court for those crimes on Tuesday morning.
But the younger of the men was also positively linked to the Marry Me informal settlement attack and was charged with 13 counts, including murder, attempted murder and robbery.
His matter, which is separate, will also return to court on Tuesday.
On Monday, the man, who cannot be named as he is due for an identity parade, told the court that he would like to be represented by Legal Aid.
He will be allocated a lawyer.
